Journey Home from Canaan Valley

With a tropical storm blowing through I was all set in my rain gear prepared to get wet and possible detour to a motel if it got to bad. I set out after an hour of sunshine in the morning. Somehow throughout my trip I manage to follow the rain most of the way I never seen, but everywhere I when the road seemed to be freshly wet.

The mountain roads wear damp and dangerous especially on the mountain curves. The one thing that proves I still have a lot to learn in judging how well my tires are going to stick to wet curves. After 30 some miles of curve on WV Rt 32, and over 100 miles of curves of 250 N I welcomed the freeway through Wheeling WV and the speedy strait return the rest of the way home.

I found the part of Rt. 250 N state a 55 mph speed limit mostly just a teaser for every sign was surely followed by a 15 or 25 mph curve. I highly recommended 250N through WV on any dry day, it is an insanely twisted ride through the mountains. Although I think it would be better served in a 10 mile section ridden multiple times, rather then a strange set 100 miles of never before seen set of curves.
